A primary school re-developed while remaining operational to a brief which called for sustainable design. The responsible use of resources involves the structure, construction and services strategy and extends to all aspects of the project, including the provision of kitchen gardens as a learning tool.
It is one of the most carbon efficient schools in the UK. New buildings have load-bearing masonry walls where acoustic density is required and pre-fabricated timber panel walls and roofs elsewhere.
