Shortlisted for the 2010 Retrofit Awards, the Rankin Building demonstrates the possibilities for re-use of our existing building stock. Formerly a warehouse, new life has been injected, turning the ground floor into a photographic studio with associated offices and apartments above.

A new penthouse sits above the cityscape. Re-use of the existing concrete frame brought the client significant programme and cost benefits and reduced the embodied energy of the scheme significantly.
