Larmenier and Sacred Heart School

The amalgamation of two Roman Catholic Schools onto one site has been taken as an opportunity to realise an exemplary design for a low-energy school building. A mixture of structure informs the design; closely tailored to the specific spaces of the brief. Service provisions and structure are fully integrated. The main classrooms are framed in reinforced concrete with in-situ cast surfaces exposed to provide a consistent radiant background. Centrally placed stacks drive natural ventilation throughout the building.
