Bessemer Grange

An existing primary school in South London was refurbished and improved with a new children’s centre and external works. A two storey cross-laminated timber extension with a butterfly roof provides a new frontage, classrooms, creche and nursery facilities. High levels of insulation together with the excellent sealing of solid timber construction minimizes future energy use. Close-boarded cladding links new elements to the existing steel structured school.
