Benyon Wharf

This development of fifty three live/work units and office space surrounds a new private courtyard and incorporates a basement car park. Retail units shield the development from the main road. The duplex apartment layouts, with double height glazed spaces, are not confined within cross walls. Instead we conceived a double storey concrete sway frame with columns suppressed into the separating walls between units. This was quick to build and presented no constraints on the internal layout. Lightweight timber floors were then inserted into each unit.
